CITE VA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
CITE-VA has provided scholarships for African-American students in need for over fifteen years. Starting out as ATM (Association of Telecommunication Managers), then ATP (Association of Telecommunication Professionals) and progressing to our present name CITE-VA, we have become well known in the community for supporting high school seniors in need of scholarships throughout the years. We have progressed from awarding a $500.00 scholarship and $100.00 book awards to our present award of seven (7) $1000.00 scholarships annually. These scholarships are based on academics, need and extracurricular activities. Six (6) Scholarships are awarded to students throughout Virginia who meet these criteria. We also award one (1) scholarship to a deserving student within our own business organization. In addition to winning our local scholarship, one student is eligible to receive an additional $3,000.00 scholarship. The student must excel in all areas and meet the criteria major of CITE. This student is afforded the opportunity to attend our annual CITE Conference and meet and network with many professionals and executives who act as networkers and mentors throughout their career. CITE-VA plans to continue in the tradition of, as we have in the past providing much needed scholarships and increasing our contributions. We feel that the seeds we sow today will reap a large harvest in the future.
We are proud of our accomplishments over the years, but our desire is to give more.
We stand committed to the education of our children and youth.
